PureRed is a full-service advertising agency with offices in Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco and Charlotte. PureRed builds marketing and creative programs that motivate consumers to discover, experience and buy. PureRed works with the most recognized and respected retail brands in the world. Work spans brand research and evaluation, brand positioning and architecture, strategic planning and retail marketing. As well as acting as VP Creative Director for the agency, I also serve as managing director responsible for the day to day operations including creative accounts services, creative production and photography.

RadioShack “The Shack” / Fort Worth, Texas

2008 – 2010
Successfully helped re-launch the brand of the largest consumer electronic retailer with 4,000 retail stores nationwide. Transitioned to new creative agency and directed them in all media during our 300 million dollar re-branding campaign “The Shack”.  Directed 4 external agencies plus an in-house creative team of brand managers, art directors, copywriters and production artists. Additional responsibilities included creative strategy planning, managing budgetary constraints and directing creative for Hispanic marketing. After the first eight months of  the new branding campagin RadioShack saw an overall advertising awareness of 35%. The campaign also showed a lift in traffic and sales in key categories.

Eddie Bauer / Seattle,  Washington

Eddie Bauer is a tri-channel 1 billion dollar apparel retailer operating 376 stores throughout US and Canada plus catalog and e-com operations in the US, Canada, Japan and Germany.  I was brought on with the new CEO in May 2007 to help the company’s re-branding and turn around efforts. Partnered with the CEO to develop the company's first ever tri-channel comprehensive brand book. Conceptualized and developed a re-branding campaign highlighting the new brand-positioning concept. After launching the new re-fresh look for the 2007 holiday season, sales were up 9% over the previous year. In addition, my position was responsible for managing the company’s creative, visual, e-com and print staff, consisting of 85 people.

Schawk / Anthem Worldwide / Chicago & Atlanta
Creative Director / Brand Concept and Development
2003 - 2007
Schawk is one of the largest retail branding agencies in the country with offices in Atlanta, Chicago, New York and San Francisco.  I started with Schawk in the Atlanta office as Creative Director on The Home Depot and Home Depot EXPO accounts.  After six months I was selected as part of the senior management team for a nine-month project challenged to start up the agencies’ new West Coast office.  Responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of creative start up, staffing, establishing budgets, managing projects and supervising staff. After a successful nine months I was promoted to the Chicago office as Group Creative Director managing the agencies Concept & Development team reporting directly to the president. Responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently, overseeing all stages of design from conception to implementation and through all stages of separations and printing. Clients include Bang & Olufsen, Lord & Taylor, The Home Depot, The Great Indoors, Ulta Cosmetics, Fannie May Candies, Macy’s, Sears/Kenmore, Chicago Cutlery, Sunbeam and Kmart.

The firm specialized in strategic marketing solutions for major retailers, business to business, health care and consumer businesses.  Focused extensively on brand positioning and repositioning for clients. Responsibilities required strategic branding through multi-channel integration, primary and secondary research participation, research findings and implications analysis, competitive assessment, creative strategy, specific tactics and final execution.  Additionally responsible for maintaining budgets and achieving expected profit margins. Mentored and led staff of art directors, copywriters, photographers and freelance personnel. Instrumental in landing major accounts through creative and new business development support.
